Hi, I'm Sue

I started my career in the 70's as a ceramic artist making fine bone china flowers by hand. I stayed in this industry for 23 years until the bottom fell out of popularity due to the increasing resins models that were flooding the market. From here I decided to completely change career direction and decided to go back to education as a mature student to study horticulture. I did a 2 year full-time horticulture degree and passed with distinction. Year's later, and age against me for physical work, I went into the social care sector. After the Covid pandemic I took a rain check on life and decided in 2023 to take early retirement and indulge myself back into my passion of being an artist. To begin with, I joined a sewing class as I hadn't sewn since I left school and made lot's of various items from bag's to cushions. Through my sewing abilities I then started a small business in making keepsake and memory bears which have proved very popular!

I love making the memory bears but still yearned to be creative because that's where I'm most comfortable. In late 2023 I discovered the art of needle felting with sheep wool and I haven't looked back. I'm self taught and I love it!
