Hello my name is Hazel, I am a self taught artist and crafter from Oxfordshire.

Married with 2 grown up sons and a dog called Skye, until 7 years ago I had never I picked up a paint brush other than to paint walls, but ongoing back and mobility problems forced me to stop doing the job I loved.

During lockdown, I was extremely lucky to be given the privilege of being commissioned to draw people’s pet portraits.

I paint with a variety of mediums such as acrylic, pastels, watercolour and wax, better known as Encaustic Art. This is a favourite medium of mine as it involves melting coloured wax using an iron or stylus to create a variety of colourful and unpredictable art.

I paint on canvas, wood glass and slate, if I can paint it or make it I will give it a go, as I relish a challenge.

I enjoy Crafts as well and make cards from my doodles, as well as bespoke cards on request.
